Miami… I live where you vacation. And even though I have to admit that there are tons of benefits to living here, I have never been able to get used to the Miami weather.

General tips

Keep in mind that Miami’s climate is tempered by the proximity of the ocean on three sides. This means that the Miami weather is generally going to be very stable.
Miami is in the Caribbean, which means it’s probably going to be hot and humid regardless of what season you visit in.
I know. It’s brutal. The humidity feels like a 10-pound weight on your chest and shoulders. I wish I could say you get used to it, but you don’t. So use these tips to help you through it ?

Miami Weather in the Winter

Winter in Miami is your best bet for having a great time weather-wise.
The temperatures are warm but not unbearably hot.
(You certainly won’t get caught in any snowstorms!)
Let me put it this way, it’s still warm enough to go to the beach, but not so warm that being anywhere in the city is painful šŸ˜‰
The humidity is near zero and the nights do tend to see a drop in temperatures so be sure to pack a cardigan!

Miami Weather in the Spring

I definitely recommend spring in Miami!
If it does rain, don’t worry! It usually only lasts a few minutes šŸ˜‰
Just put on a pair of cute rainboots and be on your way!
Plus the temperatures are getting warmer so you’ll definitely be cozy.

Miami Weather in the Summer

Miami weather is tough during summertime. This is because summer is definitely the wet season.
If you’re spending summer in Miami, expect your time traveling there to be rainy nearly every day.
Some days there may even be heavy rain.
And certainly thunderstorms.
Buy yourself some cute rainboots, or else you’ll be upset at having to wear sneakers – or upset at having wet toes.

Also, I would be remiss if I left out discussing hurricane season.

Late summer marks the beginning of hurricane season, so be careful!
If a storm brews, you’ll find yourself caught in some serious rain and wind and flights will likely be canceled so I suggest opting for spring and winter vacations.

Miami Weather in the Fall

Hurricane season runs through mid- to late-Fall so again – I recommend putting your travels off until the Winter or Spring season.
Temperatures are nice, however, so if it’s the latter end of Fall, Miami can definitely be worth a visit.
