Who Else Wants A Great Ultimate World Travel Bucket List?

Stephanie Cristi shares her ultimate world travel bucket list in the hopes that she will inspire readers to see more of the world.

I’ve always loved traveling (I’ve been adding to my Ultimate World Travel Bucket List since I was a girl) but life has never really given me the chance to truly explore the world. In college, I was on the pre-med track and couldn’t spare the time or mental bandwidth. Then, I jumped into my Master’s program before I had even finished my undergraduate degree and just two months later I moved across the country and started my big-girl life.

But enough is enough!

This is what my world travels look like up to now:

And unfortunately, they’re not much better within the US πŸ™

I’m writing this blog post to let you know my ultimate world travel bucket list in the hopes that you will help hold me accountable throughout the years! Each country will hopefully link to a blog post related to my trip there πŸ™‚

  1. I love this bucket list idea! I have a running list as well, but I may need to put it down in a blog post. You have inspired me! All I can say is for New Mexico, you need to just eat as much New Mexican food as you can get. So yum!!!! We’re from NM, so we could give you tons of ideas (Carlsbad Caverns, Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta, etc.) And in Florida, be sure to take some time in St. Augustine. We’re currently in the Badlands in South Dakota. It’s a definite must. We are enjoying our time boondocking in our RV here.

    1. Hi Kristi!

I’m glad I’ve inspired you to make your bucket list public and thanks for reaching out with your great ideas! I’ve heard of the Carlsbad Caverns and actually did have it on my list, I can’t believe I forgot to add it on here! As for the NM food, I’m a total foodie so I’ll definitely be hitting up some local places, good advice!

I’m glad you’re enjoying the Badlands in your RV – that sounds lovely.

  2. What a fantastic idea. I have a running bucket list in my head, but I should get it down on paper.
Have you ever thought about Spearfish Canyon in SD? It’s on my bucket list, and a short drive from Mt. Rushmore. Looks beautiful.

    1. Hi Danielle,

Thanks for reaching out, I”m glad you like the idea of getting your list down on paper – or online πŸ˜‰
I’ve never heard of Spearfish Canyon but it looks beautiful from the images I saw online, thank you for the suggestion!

    1. Hi Tonya,

I’m a Florida-raised gal so I’ve seen Sanibel but I should definitely revisit, it’s been quite a while.
Those are some great suggestions, thanks for reaching out and sharing them with me!

  3. Independence Hall is on my list too! You are making me yearn for another vacation, lots of these are on my list. Add Pawley’s Island, SC to your list!

    1. Hey Brooke,

Haha that was part of my goal, to get my readers to remember to see more of the world (and their bucket lists). Pawley’s Island looks charming, and it has such an interesting history, too!

Thanks for the suggestion, I’ll definitely be adding it to my ever-growing bucket list πŸ™‚

  4. My husband and I made a list when we got married of all the places we wanted to visit. We’ve already managed to do a few of the big ones so I’m a firm believer that if you write it down you can make it happen!

    1. Hey Janine,

That sounds like a lovely bucket list to be able to work through with your husband. Thanks for the inspiration, mine is beginning to look daunting with all these incredible recommendations.

    1. Hi Erin, thanks for the sweet message!
I’ll be posting soon about some recent trips I’ve taken (which, incidentally, are on this Bucket List) so be sure to check back for some stories about Spain and Japan πŸ˜‰

  5. Wow! What a list. I am yet to venture to America but intend to do so in the next few years. I’ve been to Japan twice in the last 2 years and have fallen head over heels!

I hope you get to go to all these places and look forward to reading about your adventures! ?
