If you’re like most people, you probably struggle with drinking your daily recommended water.
Doctors used to recommend 64 fluid ounces daily, but of course, we know that’s no longer true.
It depends on your weight, the temperature, humidity, your exercise levels.
For me, I personally feel best when I’m consistently drinking 2 liters of water every day.
It sounds like a lot, but I have a trick up my sleeve I’d love to show you…
I drink fruit infused water – yup!
I flavor my water with fruit and herbs and add chia seeds to maintain hydration and reduce cravings throughout the day.

Fruit Infused Water Recipe 1: Watermelon and Mint

In 2 liters of water, I add:
  • a quarter of a watermelon, chopped into cubes
  • 2-4 mint leaves
  • 1 tablespoon of chia seeds
Keep in mind that mint leaves add a lot of flavor so I suggest you err on the side of fewer leaves. At least until you learn your personal preferences!
Also, chia seeds turn into a gelatin-type consistency once they’ve absorbed water, so shake your bottle before drinking from it to break up any clumps that might have formed.

Fruit Infused Water Recipe 2: Strawberry, Raspberry, Tangerine

In 2 liters of water, I add:
  • 4 large strawberries
  • a handful of raspberries
  • 3 tangerines
  • 1 tablespoon of chia seeds
For this recipe, I love blending it all together so I can drink my fiber and get more flavor out of the fruit.
My Vitamix does a fantastic job of blending the fruit together into a flavored water, but if you’re on a budget, a Magic Bullet or food processor will also do the trick.

Fruit Infused Water Recipe 3: Lemon and Mint

In 2 liters of water, I add:
  • 2 lemons, sliced
  • 1-3 mint leaves
  • 1 tablespoon of chia seeds
I tend to keep the mint lower in this recipe so as to not overpower the lemon. Blending it would get more flavor out of the lemons, but I personally prefer a light taste instead.

Fruit Infused Water Recipe 4: Cucumber and Mint

In 2 liters of water, I add:
  • 1 large cucumber, sliced
  • 1-3 mint leaves
  • 1 tablespoon of chia seeds
As with recipe #3, I tend to keep the mint lower so I don’t overpower the cucumber. Blending it would get more flavor out of the cucumber, but I prefer a lighter taste in this recipe as well.

Fruit Infused Water Recipe 5: Strawberry and Lemon

In 2 liters of water, I add:
  • 5 large strawberries, halved
  • 2 lemons, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon of chia seeds

I don’t blend this recipe because I enjoy seeing my strawberries and lemon dancing around in my water, but that’s just me!

Fruit Infused Water Recipe 6: Orange and Blueberry

In 2 liters of water, I add:
  • 1 orange, sliced
  • a handful of blueberries
  • 1 tablespoon of chia seeds

I don’t blend this recipe either, I just think it’s so beautiful to look at!

TL;DR
